Welcome to the Ozark Mountain 4x4 Club Official Website!
The Ozark Mountain 4 x 4 Club was established around *1977, by a group of people who wanted to share their common interest of off-roading with others.
In the past, the Club has done various fund raisers for some very deserving organizations. We held a yearly car show called "The Show You Care Auto Show". It was a charity car show, with the proceeds being donated to various organizations such as St.Jude Children’s Hospital, and Camp Quality, a camp for children with cancer. We have held Mud-A-Thons and Mud Races, the largest being one held at Seymour, Missouri, with the proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Trailriding is very popular in our area, as we are so close to miles and miles of National Forest Land, which boasts some awesome four wheeling. One of the Clubs favorite four wheeling areas is the Cassville/Roaring River area, which has great four wheeling, and is a very scenic area to boot. In past years we have put on an organized trailride called "Head for the Hills", which was a fund raiser for "Camp Quality".
The Club has participated in various events over the years involving Monster Truck competitions.
We realize the dangers of land closures to our sport, and decided to become a part of some larger organizations. We are members of the Southwest Four Wheel Drive Association, and the United Four Wheel Drive Association. Both organizations in the forefront on issues that concern the sport of off-roading.
Along the way, we’ve found time to be involved in so many other events. Some that have nothing to do with four wheeling at all. Several of our members helped build the facilities for "Horses of Hope", a riding center which does therapy riding for handicapped children. We’ve done toy drives for "Toys for Tots", helped at a local homeless shelter, donated to the local food pantries, and adopted families at Christmas in need of help. When our area was devastated by tornadoes a few years ago, the members of Ozark Mountain showed up to help in whatever way they could to those in need. The Club has helped many families in time of crisis, reaching out to the community, to help where we can.
But don’t think we don’t take time out for fun. We find plenty of time for social events, Club gatherings, dinners, camp-outs, road trips, and just a lot of fun times together.
When you look back there’s lots of good memories, and lots of good people. Dedicated people who have kept this organization running for many years now, many who are still actively involved in it. Though the vehicles may change, and the events we frequent may change, there’s one constant, the black and white Logo that says "Ozark Mountain 4 x 4 Club". We invite you to become a part of it.
